Chez
Joly, Javerlhac, near Nontron is a holiday home with swimming
pool for 4 persons.
Il is a lovely place on a hill above the village Javerlhac in the green Perigord. The property has nearly one hectare of land. Lawn, garden and wood.
The house (100 m2) is part of a building which is partly two
hundred years old. Its veranda closed with windows allows you to eat
breakfast in the morning sun even on a cool morning in spring. If you
are patient and lucky you can observe squirrels, birds and other
animals.
Up
The house Chez Joly has a spacious living room with
a fire-place and an open kitchen.
The sofa can be changed into a
bed. There are chairs for six persons. If you want a television and
dvd player, please let us know. (Television is an option, not an
obligation!)
The kitchen has dishes for 6 persons, a gas stove,
microwave, refrigerator and a washing-machine.
In front of the
veranda is your private garden, garden furniture and barbecue
grill.
Up
One sleeping room with a double bed (160x200 cm) and 4-doors
wardrobe.
The second sleeping room opens on the veranda. It has
two single beds and a 2-doors wardrobe.
Bathroom with shower,
sink and toilet. There is a second toilet with sink.
The tiled swimming pool (8x4 m) has a depth between 1 and 2
meters, with a safety ledge all around, so it is deep enough to swim.
It is placed in the sunny lawn behind the house.
Up
The house Chez Joly is open from 15th March to 15th
November. You can bring your cat or dog, just the final cleaning will
be a little more expensive.
The prizes are all included
(electricity, water, gas, central heating). For a supplement we can
supply you with bed linen.
The vacation villa Chez Joly is situated on a hill
just above the village Javerlhac,
where you can go by a lovely footpath in less than ten minutes. In
Javerlhac are still several shops, seldom these days.Three bakers, a
butcher, a small supermarket, hairdresser, doctor, pharmacy, nurse,
service station. For more important shopping you can drive to
Nontron.
Up
Javerlhac has the warm weather of the Charente, with the same amount of sunshine as the provence. Summers are hot, ideal for bathing or dreaming in the sun.
Il you like hiking, it is good to start early in the cool morning
hours. A footpath is starting in front of the property. Take the maps
in the house, because you will see nobody in the woods to ask your
way.
Up
The river Bandiat is only some meters away from the property. Fishes in the river Bandiat, next to the property : trout, carp, pike, eel, pumpkinseed sunfish, black bullhead, roach, minnow, etc. For fishing you need a licence, which can be bought in the village or in Nontron.
On weekends the owner of the holiday home, a longbow archer can
introduce you to field archery. The fields the Compagnie
des Archers du Bandiat are using are nearby.
